The Purpose of Blogging

Having started this blog a few days ago, I've been thinking about the concept of blogging and what it means. I think the beauty of it, is that you can write what you like. Some people, as I have, use the blog as a form of diary, whereas others use theirs to talk about issues, to commentate on things and express their views. I'd like mine to be a bit of all of those, and I think that that will be the case as I progress through the amateur ranks of blogging.

It amazes me how things like blogging, and Twitter, have taken off in January alone. Twitter is all down to Stephen Fry it would seem, as he keeps talking about it on the BBC website, although I noticed yesterday according to his 'tweets' (that's what you call it when someone writes something as their status) he has turned down offers to write about Twitter and is hoping the fuss will die down soon. I mentioned in an earlier post that I wish I had started blogging when I began Uni, back in September 06, but if the truth be told I didn't even really know what blogging was. It is a tad scary how fast things move in the current day and age. I have to say that I'm becoming addicted to both blogging and Twitter, and the fact that you can update your status or 'tweet' on Twitter by sending a text is incredible! Twitter is also amazing for the simple reason that it's the closest you are likely to get to hearing (or seeing) what celebrities are up to and what they think.

Cor, I've babbled on now haven't I?

I'm currently at Aoif's house, while she's at Tesco getting my tea - don't worry, we take it in turns. I'm gonna pop off to sleep in a bit, as I have work tonight at Classic. I start at 11pm, and finish at 7am, and may even stay until 11am tomorrow. You can see why I need a kip before I begin.

Anyway, I'm sure there will be many posts throughout the night. 'Yippee!' I hear you cry.

Later on.
