Soaked for 99p

Evening all!

Well I braved my shift at Wetherspoons, and it wasn't totally awful. This maybe something to do with the fact that I got to go home 3 hours early as it was quiet and if I had finished as scheduled I'd still be there rather than in the comfort of my house. All of the regulars were there as ever. This is something you should know about my pub - it's a proper local pub. The pub always contains about 95% of the same customers, which is good because you get to know them and can have a chat, but it also means the annoying ones are always in as well. I was quite chuffed to be let out early, but just as I was finishing up by 'doing the cellar' - i.e. taking out the empties, and tapping and venting the ale, a job that has come to be my own (lucky me!) - I tapped the IPA only for it to go mental and spray all over me, so I'm now sitting here smelling of IPA. And yes I did wash and I still stink. I dunno why you'd want to drink IPA, 99p or not, it smells horrible and tastes worse. But then again, I am a very fussy man when it comes to, well, everything, but there are only really 3 alcoholic drinks that I enjoy drinking: firstly, the everso manly 'Ready to drinks' i.e. WKD, Smirnoff Ice etc. Secondly, Amaretto (with coke) and lastly, my absolute favourite, Southern Comfort, (with lemonade). I currently have two large bottles and one small bottle of it unopened, which will probably last about 7 years.

As for the rest of this evening, more Hustle I think and then bed. Tomorrow sees more work in the pub and my night shift at Classic. This involves me sleeping at around 5pm which completely throws my body clock out of sync, although I think I'm used to it now.

Ah yes, I was gonna divulge why I hate the pub so much, but alas, the time has come for me to disappear. I will reveal all one day I'm sure.

On a side note, for those who are interested in radio, I'd like to congratulate the entire industry (with the exception of Absolute Radio) for a fantastic quarter of quality radio output! Today also sees the day that the government have said they're gonna help push DAB into a good place, and there's a great blog by Nick Piggott, a guy who does creative media stuff at Global here.

I'm also wondering if I want to sync my Facebook and Twitter statuses - I don't think I do, because I think they are different things, and mean different things, but I will ponder that some more.

OK, geeky stuff over!

Night all!
